Tasting Notes Single Vineyard

Shiraz
This Shiraz reflects a cool year in the region with ideal, even growing conditions. The aroma has all the spicy characters of Shiraz with hints of pepper, nutmeg and cardamon apparent. The palate is soft and rich with medium weight and mazimum complexity. The tannins are fine and lingering with a range of flavours from plum fruit, to cinnamon and vanilla evident. Drink now or cellar with confidence for 8 years.

Chardonnay
A worthy successor to the previous vintage Chardonnay which received trophies at the Winewise Small Vignerons Awards and the Blackwood Valley and WA Boutique wine show (best white of show). Whole bunch pressed and wild yeast fermented the wine is rich in nectarine and citrus flavours with hints of spice from the French oak barriques in which it was fermented for 10 months. Drink now or cellar for 5 years.

Grenache Shiraz Mataro ( GSM)
Blended from estate grown grapes this is a fine example of the GSM blend. The Grenache brings the strong raspberry and strawberry characteristics while the Shiraz fills the middle palate with rich dark fruits and chocolate. The small amount of Mataro provides a spicy tannin finish. A medium bodied wine for drinking now or cellaring in the medium term.

Grenache Mataro
Luscious raspberry and strawberry fruit bouquet. The palate displays fresh easy and smooth drinking characteristics while rich in the raspberry flavours supported by the power and tannins of the Mataro to hold up the middle palate and finish . Best served cool, but not chilled, to drink now and will cellar for up to 5 years.
