Tasting Notes

James Shiraz

This Shiraz has a beautiful aroma of red berry fruit and passionfruit skin with spicy oak notes in support. The palate is soft and spicy with hints of liquorice, raspberry, and long slick tannins on the finish. A lovely wine to drink now but will age gracefully for 5 years.

Emma Chardonnay

This complex chardonnay has been wild fermented in new and used french oak barriques and aged on lees for 10 months. The result is a rich mouthful of wine with nectarine, intense citrus fruit flavours and subtle  hints of spice and bread from oak and lees. Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years.

Cameo Rosé

Crooked Brook Wines is a boutique vineyard  located in the stunning Geographe region of Western Australia.
Named after the Crooked Brook which runs through the picturesque estate, the fruit is selectively picked to express the unique ‘terroir’ {teh/rwahr} of the region. This delicately coloured grapefruit pink rosé has appealing fruit notes of strawberry and peach with a subtle rose perfume. The palate is rich and flavoursome with fruity berry flavours, crisp acidity and lingering fruit nectars. This is a zesty easy drinking wine perfect for warm late afternoons.

Grenache Shiraz Mataro

Blended from estate grown grapes this is a fine example of the GSM blend. The Grenache brings the strong raspberry and strawberry characteristics while the Shiraz fills the middle palate with rich dark fruits and chocolate. The small amount of Mataro provides a spicy tannin finish. A medium bodied wine for drinking now or cellaring in the medium term.

Grenache Mataro

Luscious raspberry and strawberry fruit bouquet. The palate displays  fresh easy and smooth drinking characteristics while rich in the raspberry flavours supported by the power and tannins of the Mataro to hold up the middle palate and finish.
