Single Vineyard Wine

Located in the very pretty Ferguson Valley which is part of the Geographe region of Western Australia, in 1998 we were struck by the beauty of the land and dreamed of planting a vineyard. After searching for viable sites, we kept returning to one property in particular on Crooked Brook Road — with the water, the birds and the beauty, we were sold. And so Crooked Brook Wines became a reality. The vision not only included making excellent wine, but to beautify the landscape and enhance the Crooked Brook, our namesake, to retain the natural birdlife.

All our wines are from Single Vineyard fruit from Crooked Brook Vineyard which has over the years, produced award-winning vintages of Chardonnay, Shiraz, Grenache, Fortified Shiraz, Mataro, Rosé and Sparkling — with a late harvest sticky Chardonnay coming soon. 

Small Batch made with Traditional Methods

With a love for the Ferguson Valley we took the plunge and planted a vineyard in 1998 on the ancient river flats of Crooked Brook, previously rich dairy country — you can still see the decommissioned dairy behind us on the hill. With plantings of Shiraz, Grenache, Mataro and Chardonnay, it is one of the early-ripening vineyards in the area, thanks to an excellent Mediterranean micro-climate.

The wines are all named after family members of the Williams Family. As our wine list grew, so did our family, who grew up helping out amongst the vines!

Awards

Crooked Brook's achievements include Gold medals and Trophies for best in show at a variety of wine shows, including the National Wine Show of Australia, Winewise Small Vigneron Awards, Geographe Wine Show and Blackwood Valley Wine Show to name a few.  See our Medals page for more info.

We are passionate about producing great wine and planting native trees around the property to provide habitat for the waterbirds that live on Crooked Brook.
